We specialize in the supply, installation and maintenance
of wired-, as well as wireless alarm systems and all components thereof. We also
install and maintain all optional extras, like Infrared beams (typical 60
meters), control- and security radio’s (typical 2 to 6 kilometers) and
the like. Our pride are our advanced warning systems (typically used on farms
and plots) and integrating these into your existing alarm system to give
people more security and perimeter protection as well as ample warning of
approaching or lurking danger over several kilometers. One of our specialist
fields is Programmable Logical Controllers (PLC’s) that are 3-in-1
Automation-Security-Control (ASC) “alarm systems” that can also
switch on lights, fans and heaters, etc. from your personal Cellphone or automatically control geysers, irrigation,
pumps and filtration, etc. No task too big or small, with one PLC you can do
it all. Farm-security
being another one of our specialist fields, we can advise and supply you with
all the necessary infrastructure to have a "watertight" and
"fireproof" integrated security system in place against any
possible threat. Specialized guard-training, advanced warning systems,
arresting barriers, hidden CCTV and concealed observation posts, you name it,
we do it! Furthermore we can install purpose-built,
dedicated and/or homemade alarm systems and -circuits to suit your
requirements. Finally, there is no need to worry about a remote site without Escom power being the target of criminals: we can supply
and install a solar powerpack-solution with either
a localized alarm or a radio-controlled trigger to notify
burglaries/tampering to your house, office or Cellphone.
We also provide lots of free help and advice on security systems and can
ensure, at a nominal fee, that quality workmanship
is provided to you, if you use an engineering company other than ours’
for your security needs. PLC’s (Programmable Logical Controllers) What is a PLC? But sir, there’s
a Terminator in my house! Yes my dear fellow, but this one is actually there
to protect you. Ha, ha, ha! … What used to be reserved for companies only, up
until a few years ago, is now also available to the ordinary home in Example 1, Agriculture: A milk farmer can now automate all his menial and repetitive tasks in
the dairy and after hours also secure the dairy, either automatically or with
1 SMS from his phone.
All the while, he will be constantly
updated to his Cellular phone of the status/progress of the milking process,
be able to control any of the machines and even know if a burglary is taking
place or certain equipment is being used after hours without his consent or
knowledge! All this is possible without him even being on the farm and he can
operate his equipment and be informed of events while being on holiday in Example 2, Industry: A small company or manufacturing business with (for example) a
Terminator installed on their premises, can now have their start-of-work,
lunch- and tea-time, and end-of-day -sirens automatically sound at the right
hour. Furthermore, the Terminator will handle all access-control to the
premises when employees give it 1 ‘Missed-Call’ from their
personal Cellphones, thereby doing away with the
need for a lot of remote-keyrings or electronic
tags of some sort. Also, certain employees can be forced to use only a
certain gate/entrance allocated to them and also, only have access during
normal working hours, otherwise being "locked out" of the premises.
Meanwhile, the Terminator will monitor any vital processes/functions etc. and
notify management/security/maintenance of abnormal/serious conditions. During
daytime, it will notify alarm conditions to the security guard on duty for
that shift, but after hours, automatically SMS the night-guard to his Cellphone, without any effort whatsoever! Example 3, Domestic: At home, a PLC can typically be used to monitor the alarm
system and SMS you when it’s triggered, automatically switch lights
on/off at certain times, control the geyser to save on electricity, remind
you to feed the pets at a certain hour, (or wake you up every morning), run
the pool pump for a certain time and operate the irrigation system, etc. If
however, you do not have an alarm system yet, the PLC can act as a security system as well, with various sensors and sirens
connected to it. Repetitive and perpetual tasks, like opening your electric
sliding gate numerous times during the day, can be done by giving the PLC only 1 ‘Missed-Call’ by
members of the family, thereby saving the cost of frequent SMS’s. No need to worry that malicious/mischievous
persons will fool around with your PLC, it accepts only phone numbers allocated to it and will give all
others the ‘SILENT’ treatment (The above are only 3 small examples- the
possibilities are endless…) |
